ECC will be hosting the last of
the four district Parent Education Seminars. Please join us in the ECC
auditorium on May 31 from 6:30 - 8:30 for a discussion on the "Transition Years:
How To Thrive When Living With An Adolescent Instead Of Just Surviving."
Children from
ages 12 – 18 go through the second most rapid social, emotional and physical
changes of their lives. This presentation provides parents with the information
and skills they need to deal with their changing adolescent. While topics
include how parents can successfully transition their adolescent into the teen
years, the subject matter is relevant for children of all
ages. Please
visit the Fred Becker website (http://www.beckerinstitute.com) for more information
about Mr. Becker. Please contact Katrina Young with any questions about the
seminar.

REFLECTIONS OF ME: IN ART
The ECC PTA would like to celebrate our student writers and artists one last time before the end of the school year. We invite all our students to submit a drawing, photograph, poem and/or essay related to the theme “Reflections of Me: In Art” in the PTA box (located under Meg’s desk in the front office) by TUESDAY, May 22. Artistic license is encouraged. Subject matter can include: what is art, the importance of art, as well as anything related to your student’s personal view and/or experience with art. Each submission will be independently judged. The finalists will be prominently showcased at the PTA General Meeting (Thursday, May 24th). All submissions will be on display for parents and/or family members to view.

ECC PTA
Membership Has Its Benefits…
The ECC PTA proudly offers more than 25 enrichment programs to our children every year. The variety and caliber of these programs allows our children to benefit from one of the highest ranked education systems in the nation. However, none of that would be possible without the generosity of our families. In order to maintain our current enrichment programs, it costs approximately $125 per student. We need your help to keep our programs and our children succeeding.
