As we approach the holiday season I wanted to write and thank you for the many things you do for me each day that you may not even think about. Primarily, you allow me to watch over your little ones, and your almost middle schoolers as well. You trust me to run the school without question. You support our policies and procedures. You do a fantastic job parenting at home so we can teach at school. You are kind to my staff and you thank them for little things, which is a big thing to them. Most of all, I just wanted you to know that I, and we, here at ECC applaud and respect you for the involved parents that you are.
I want to take this time to share with you a few staffing changes that occurred on campus last week. Mrs. Nancy Crocker announced her retirement to me last Thursday. She has had a long and successful tenure as an elementary teacher and decided that the time had come to retire and pursue other passions. I hired Mrs. Michelle Christensen, our ECC Science Consultant and experienced teacher, to take over the class in room 109. Please congratulate her if you see her out and about. Finally, Miss Erica Palmer will be working as our Science Consultant. Again, thank you for your support as we adapt and change.
The last item is a powerful article regarding “That” child. I hope you take the time to read it and reflect. One thing that I have learned in my career, and hope to share with anyone who will listen, is that there are always two sides to things and this article begs to be shared, as it discusses a topic that we all need to be reminded of from time to time.
