Final Note from the Principal

Dear ECC Families, This will be the final post for this school year. Thank you to those of you who read this note each week and I hope it is helpful and encouraging. We have nearly completed another 180 days of learning. True to the old adage, time does fly and the kids have accomplished so much in a short time. To those of you leaving us for middle school please note that once an Explorer, always an Explorer and we welcome you back to visit anytime. For your awareness, report cards will come home with your child on Friday, June 19. Promotion happens at 8:15 on the same day. Those of you with 6th graders, and may be new to this experience, should understand that seating is on a first come, first served basis. We do not always have chairs for everyone and if you have an elderly grandparent attending, you may wish to arrive by 7:00 to stand in line. We open the auditorium doors at 7:45 and the event begins promptly at 8:15. Once complete, you are free to leave with your child and there is no need to check out in the office. Siblings do not attend this event and need to be checked out separately. We will start the 15-16 school year on August 17 at 8:00. I am Looking forward to it already, as an empty nester I will have more energy than ever and need a place to spend it! All my best for a safe and fun-filled summer., Carrie Brown
