A Bit about Grit

Dear ECC Families,

Today I want to revisit the subject of Grit. It has been shown through research, that one quality that equates to success in life is Grit, more commonly known as perseverance. I have included this link to a TED Talk video by Angela Duckworth. I mentioned it last year and feel it is worth another look. Check it out and think about what it may or may not mean for your own child. Personally, I am looking carefully at the concept of a growth mindset and this discussion about Grit fits in very well.
