Reflections Overview 

Reflections is a National PTA program that provides opportunities for access to and recognition in the arts, ultimately boosting student confidence and success in both the arts and life.

Reflections encourages students to:

• Unleash creative talents and be inspired 

• Express themselves imaginatively in their artwork

• Experience the fun and joy of making art

• Tap into critical-thinking skills to create art inspired by the annual theme

• Receive positive recognition for their original works of art

This year's Reflections theme is "WHAT MY CULTURE MEANS TO ME". Students of all ages at ECC are invited to participate and submit an original artwork that exemplifies the theme in one of six areas:

• Visual Arts

• Photography

• Music Composition

• Dance Choreography

• Film Production

• Literature

Program Timelines: 

The timeline for the 2026-2027 program is as follows:

• ​September 10, 2026: Program launch and call for entries 

• October 16th, 2026: Student submittal deadline

• October 19th - October 23th: Judging and advancement

• October 26th, 2026: Submittal deadline for the local council level

Participation Process Requirements:

• Student art must adhere to program entry requirements. Official rules/entry requirements are linked at the top of this page (Green link). 

• Students submit their artwork and complete an entry Google Form for the ECC Reflections program by the designated student submittal deadline.  Entry forms are linked at the top of this page (Blue link).

• Following submittal, the program chairs will submit each entry for school-level judging and advancement to the local council level. Judging focuses on theme interpretation, creativity, and technique.

• Highest-scoring entries advance to consideration at council, district, state, and national levels.

• The Special Artists division celebrates student artists with special needs.
