Ready to Succeed

Dear ECC Families,

This week starts our PTA fundraiser of some fabulous mixed bag designs to carry almost anything you can imagine. The ones I purchased years ago still serve me well and with plastic bags soon to be a thing of the past I am happy to have this option for my groceries. You can see samples of the bags in front of the school each morning until October 3rd. Also, we have restaurant night this Wednesday and Thursday at Chili’s, between 11:00am-10:00 pm. 15% comes back to our school and no flyer necessary, just mention ECC!

I was happy to receive the news this week that the California State Board of Education has announced that the four college systems in our state: UC, CSU, California Community Colleges, and Association of Independent California Colleges will align with Common Core standards. This collaboration signifies that our K-12 and higher education systems all agree on how best to address the appropriate expectations for the preparation of high school graduates who are ready to succeed.
