School Spirit

Hello ECC Families, This past Sunday I was awed by volunteer work done for us by a kind and capable group from Solana Beach Presbyterian Church. Under the direction of Kathy Hacker, Melissa Barbano, Libby Estrin and Debbie and Larry Osburn, the empty space outside of my office was transformed into the beginnings of a pollinator/native plant garden, complete with fencing! Swing by the side of our school if you want to feel as thankful as I did. It never ceases to amaze me, the dedication and involvement of our families. Thanks also to our Spelling Bee Chairs- Karri Smith, Mamta Malhotra and MaryEv Betterly, who organized another awesome annual spelling bee for our 3-6 graders. I was probably more nervous than the participants but I think we all enjoyed it. Congratulations to all of our participants and stay tuned for an announcement of the winners.
